Show Notes

I had the amazing privilege and pleasure to interview British Horror Actress Kate Davies-Speak, who has also starred in the TV Sci-Fi Mini-Series, Horizon. Kate has been in an abundance of British Independent Horror movies and has really found her niche in the roles she plays; who happen to be strong, centered women (not your usual girl-girl characters often portrayed in films), but who also have exceptional story and character arcs, something that Kate says attracts her to the roles she takes. We talk about her busy schedule and filming as well as speak about her upcoming films **_The Barge People_** , **_Escape from Cannibal Farm_** and **_Dead Air_** , a film she decribes as _"gremlins on a plane". _Sounds pretty great to me! Sit back and listen as Kate talks about life as an independent actress and the advice she offers to those looking to follow down the same career path, not just in Horror. A must listen for anyone starting out as an actor or actress.

Stargate SG1

Long time listener Jan joins me as we delve into the world of Stargate SG1; the long running sci-fi show built around the 1994 film Stargate. For those of you who love Stargate, this is perfect for you! For those who have never seen it, spoilers are afoot! But you should definitely watch it. We discuss the Replicators, the Asgard, the Goauld, the great General Hammond, Jackson, Teal'c, Carter and of course, Colonel Jack O'Neil, ol' Macgyver himself, Richard Dean Anderson. We look at our favourite episodes, characters, little known facts and general fanboying over the programme that lasted 10 years, spawned 2 TV films and 2 additional series based upon the SG1 cannon. I also throw in some sweet music found in the series too. Sit back and enjoy..... ...

SPECIAL - Feel The Force Day Charity Comic Con

With regulars Andrew & Alex, I am joined by Simon & JJ from Feel The Force Day, a local charity that puts on a Comic Con (although they have much more on now) for Disabled people. The event has a worldwide reach, is the only one of its kind in the world and has people flying in just for the convention. We talk to them about the beginnings, the trials and tribulations, how they get things done and also recent events that have been well publicised here in the East of England. All of this mixed in with some Space themed music! Enjoy. ...

Stan Lee

After the sad news that broke just before last weeks show, Alex and I thought it only fitting to dedicate this show to the man who almost singlehandedly changed peoples views on taboo topics, as well as the cinema world, with his well crafted, humanised characters with superhero traits, Mr Stan Lee. As the world mourns the loss of such a figurehead, we talk about the life of the man, his creations and the impact they have had on many many people in the world, and what his cinematic and comic creations have added to the lives of their fans. Not every superhero has a cape or super powers, some have a pencil, a pad and an idea. ...
