Show Notes

Alex & I end the year with our final foray into our favourite Christmas films. We look at how they have impacted us, how they have held up over time, how they all have a very similar feel to them, and how awesome Chevy Chase is when he goes full on bat shit crazy! We have a look at the constant running themes in Christmas films and the messages they portray. We discuss how we view the films now as adults compared to as a child and what impact they had in shaping the way we see them now. We also take a sobering moment to discuss how, at this time of year, social media goes a bit crazy and that can have a negative impact on some who are just about making it by. We emphasise the need for presence, rather than presents, and the impact some of the "excitedness" can have on others. We will be back in the new year, talking about Food in Films. Thank you all so much for your support and interactions. We both wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Be safe. We love you all.

Interview with Kate Davies-Speak - British Horror Actress

I had the amazing privilege and pleasure to interview British Horror Actress Kate Davies-Speak, who has also starred in the TV Sci-Fi Mini-Series, Horizon. Kate has been in an abundance of British Independent Horror movies and has really found her niche in the roles she plays; who happen to be strong, centered women (not your usual girl-girl characters often portrayed in films), but who also have exceptional story and character arcs, something that Kate says attracts her to the roles she takes. We talk about her busy schedule and filming as well as speak about her upcoming films **_The Barge People_** , **_Escape from Cannibal Farm_** and **_Dead Air_** , a film she decribes as _"gremlins on a plane". _Sounds pretty great to me! Sit back and listen as Kate talks about life as an independent actress and the advice she offers to those looking to follow down the same career path, not just in Horror. A must listen for anyone starting out as an actor or actress. ...
